I don't see any recent discussions on this topic, most recent was 05/18/05 or so, so I thought I'd start a fresh thread.

I'm considering wiping my Gentoo Linux box, and putting on Solaris 10 instead.

Has anyone gotten the current incarnation of ShowEQ to work on Solaris?
If so, how much of a headache was it?

Thanks!

No response?

Could be that Solaris.. in itself, is a bloody nightmare.

I've tried, but many of the libraries you would have to use, you would have to change around and native Solaris core headers do not translate the same way as Linux Kernel headers do.

Its entirely possible... based on that Solaris 10, can actually be modified to have Linux Kernel headers in its environment. But too many headaches unless you really really reaaalllllyyyy know what you are doing, and aren't some bratty teen ... like person who just THINKS they know what they are doing..

Yeah, nearly a month and nothing.
I sort of gave up on the project. I simply don't have that much time to put into tearing my hair out, when I can take the easy way out and use Gentoo, which works out of the box.
