Hey everyone, here's my situation. I have 3 computers, and 2 monitors. I like to switch between my linux box and my win2kbox, but I don't have a KVM switch, so I physically unplug the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Whenever I switch over to the linux box (mandrake 8.0) I get keyboard control back, but lose mouse control. Is there any type of probe command I can run to get it to search for the mouse again? It's a USB mouse. I just run VNC on my win2k box now, but it slows down the PC too much while connected, and I cant play EQ on my win2k box using VNC. Any advice? (Besides go and buy a KVM switch you cheap bastard :)) I suppose I could buy a cheap ass mouse and just leave it plugged in.. but I'm looking for a command damnit!

Thanks

well, it isn't exactly what you are looking for... but if you replace vnc with tight-vnc you might see a significant performance increase :)

tightvnc.org i think. it uses compression and works a LOT better/faster.
