Wow. Been gone from all things EQ for around 7 years or so now.
Big Congrats to BA and Ratt for keeping this project going.
You guys are way cool.

Ok, end asskissing section.
I am getting the bug to start playing EQ again with some friends and family.
I would really like to get SEQ back up and working again.
This program saved my butt on uncountable occasions.
I am reading through the forums still, but thought I would throw out some of the basic questions:

1. Does SEQ still need to be run on a computer hooked to the network on a true hub, or can switches now be used?

2. Is there a How-To-Setup-SEQ thread or manual anymore? I know there used to be a new thread almost every time a new version came out, but maybe I am missing it.

3. What flavor Linux is best these days, or would I be better served using MySEQ?

I think that will get me started.
I will keep reading the forums, so maybe I'll answer my own questions.

Thanks!

SEQ needs to see the packets, so unless you have switch which you can forward the packets or have the linux box as a gateway, you will need a true hub.

SEQ is pretty easy to set up. Most distributions it will work without adding additional components. You just need to configure make and make install.

SEQ works on almost all flavors, some will need some tweaking. Probably the easiest would be CentOS or Fedora.

I believe the current version works on live. Unfortunately it has been over a year since I quit.
