where do i get these from??? it says i cant compile without um

The exact name of the file is most likey:

gcc3.0-g++-3.0.1-mdk.i386.rpm
or
gcc3.0-g++-3.0.1-mdk.i586.rpm

BUT it very well may be on your disc already. I would check your package manager befoer you start downloading other files.

BTW, I'm a noob also but I got mine to work :-)
