Slartibartfast - I would like to know how to do that. I have .NET 2002 and love looking at the changes, It really helps me learn C# and of course when I get a little more proficient I want to...

If you get a message that the client "Cannot connect to server", that doesn't have anything to do with the .ini file.
You need to check that you have the right IP address in the clients...
Not sure if this will work but try renaming your filters.conf file (or moving it). Then try to start myseq without the filter file. I noticed this a few builds ago but it was fixed - for me at least....

In the same folder as your server (1.9b) you should have a file named myseqserver.ini. if not create it. and then copy the following into it. There is no file called offsets.ini.
[Memory...
Almost always this is due to the incorrect offsets or the maps are not in the correct folder. I would check the maps (should be mseq\maps) The latest offsets are here If you hit go and see a red dot,...
Hey Pitt Boss, Mind sharing the solution so others that might use search can benifit?
Thanks ~z

what OS are you using? Sounds a little like the win98 problem talked about at great length in other threads.
Could also be a ref point outside the zone boundrys (I know Im not...
If its a case of background color you should be able to change it in the options menu of MySeq. Just select "Options > Background Color" and use the color picker to get a color that works.

Did a quick search on "alert play" and found several topics on it.
This one http://seq.sourceforge.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3758&highlight=alert+play has a modified version that might...
And you left the file ext .txt? And make sure there are no files with the same name and a .map extention in that directory. If so, Im not sure why it's not working for you. I can't test it myself,...
And don't forget to press the "GO" button on the client.
Sometimes it's the little things that get ya! :)

The only way I have found to remove items from the alert list is to manually edit the filters.conf file in the myseq client folder. You can do this with note pad. You will find any alerts you have...
Assuming you have the lastest version (1.13 client, 1.9b server), the latest offsets, and you have the correct directory structure then I would think there is a file missing. This tells me the...
Cham,
Do you have the maps in the correct directory?
From the install FAQ

That last error sounds like no Dot.Net Runtime installed. Follow the instructions in the installing MySEQ thread to find the link to this (microsoft) program.
Sounds like you got everything set up right. Try to replace the .ini file with the current one in This thread. It is the latest offsets and is usually the problem when you get the black screen with...
The server should be installed on the machine that everquest is run on. The client on the computer you plan on monitoring MYseq from (may or may not be the same computer).
If you press go and get...
Thank you sir, it works perfectly.

Thanks for the effort but that link is dead. I have done a search and everything I can find on it doesnt seem to be working for me. Was hoping someone had a map that worked and would be willing to...
I tried that fix and still get the same error, can someone link to a fixed map?
That almost sounds like Depth Filter is on in the Option menu.
Not sure about the slow loading on zone. What is the update delay set to in the options dialog box? Default is 250, you might try...
Replace the filter.conf with the 1.12 version. That should handle the beeping.
I recently installed MySEQ for a friend and he got the "Red Dot"also. The solution for us was to update the offesets to the 6/11 ones. They were not included in the distribution we downloaded. So I...
To the best of my knowledge;
Latest Client = 1.12
Latest Server = 1.9b (needs the 6/11/03 offsets - not included with distro.)
edit: corrected offset date - doh!
