this highly intelligent reply somehow gives me the impression you are a "on error resume next" user. and even the :) doesn't help it.

the problems:
a) my SEQ system isn't the fastest (P1/200; i would prefer my G4 to run it, but w/o a working libEQ ... well ... :-)
b) also i would like to do an alternate interface, but don't want...

so the last column of SEQ shows sort of the "percentage" within that level, right?

so if you get 10k "displayed" exp, it is quite something different for a lvl 20 compared to a lvl 50 char ?

maybe i also found a workaround for my problem, after i changed the roles of my systems.

after some thinking and reinstalling, i will run the program on an old P1 system and exporting the gui to...

besides being impressed by the number of updates, i also had a brief look at the code, and i can only say, i really "love" what i see: clean and easy to read.

there are some PPC based linux distributions (debian, yellowdog, suse) and even a *bsd (i think it was freebsd) availible.

most of them support apple systems as well.

well, i needed my G4 or a project, but after that i didn't have any need for a MacOS based system. after that i started using it for linux, and i really like it again ... :-)
