Stormfeather theories?

Does anyone have any spawn info or theories on stormfeather? Is he really on an 18 hour spawn cycle or is there more to it?

18 hour cycle, has a chance to skip. I found out the approximate time the server came up, then just made sure to sit in the zone 15 minutes before every multiple of 18 hours to 15 mins after every multiple.

I got Stormfeather three days after the server came up, with about 2 hours total camping time invested.

I'm pretty sure that khallus is correct in the little experience my friends and i have had in camping SF.

BTW, interesting choice of user names Yueh... though, can't go wrong with Dune references
