Question SEQ 3.1.2 upgrading to 4.0

    Greetings,

Currently, I have SEQ 3.1.2 running just fine on my Redhat 7.2 box. I would love to upgrade to the 4.0 people have been screaming about.

Please forgive my ignorance if this was posted in a prior message, but what would be the procedures for upgrading to 4.0 from a currently running 3.1.2?

    Thanks in advance!

Dude, have you read any message here? They all talk about it. Anyhow, the concise version is as follows:

make sure you have gcc-3.0 and g++-3.0 on your system
    download qt-2.3.2
follow directions to compile qt-2.3.2 with gcc-3.0
    download latest libEQ.a
    cvs latest showeq
    compile showeq with gcc-3.0
make sure to blow away any existing /usr/local/share/showeq.conf file, showeq4.0 has something different in it.
    run showeq.

If you have problems with any of the above steps, read the forum. Many questions have been asked and answered. If you have troubles with all the above steps, then stay with an old version of showeq.
