Dial-Up SEQ thru Linux PPP question

Ok just a quick question to all you wonderful folks.

Has anybody run ShowEQ thru a modem? I am moving soon and will be forced to a modem connection for a few months.

I have done the needed networking in the past using a Free BSD box dialing a PPP connection and networking several win machines to that box. I’m sure I can figure out that part again with Redhat 7.2

I haven’t however tried anything as network intense as Everquest on this type of connection and was wondering if anybody has any success/failure stories.

    Thanks a bunch

eq says you'll do fine with a 28.8 modem, and i've played it for 2 weeks on a 56k line with no problems (i was a lobie then, no big raids, etc).

This was quite a while ago but once my dsl line went down and I quickly got 3 computers hooked up sharing one pots modem line, two computers running eq at the same time and one seq, worked fine.

    Wonderfull..

malakin described exactally what I'm trying to do. Anything special or just have SEQ listen to the IP of the assigned networked win PC?
