    qt-3.0.5

Will the RPM or Quicktime 3.0.5 work or do I have to do something to it? For some reason version 3.0.5 - 3.1.1 of the source file from trolltech gives me errors on qmake install about midway when installing the htmls. I'm just wanting to know if I can use the RPM's of quicktime to have them work with the newest ShowEQ.

    Cheers

You can use your distribution provided Qt packages IF they were compiled with gcc version 3.0+ AND you are using the same version of gcc to compile Showeq. I believe the most recent Mandrake and Redhats will meet this criteria.

Also don't get hung up on it being Qt 3.0.5. The two current Qt releases are Qt 3.0.6 and 3.1.1, either of which would be the prefered versions.

oh btw, Qt from Trolltech is a gui api, which is not short for, or related to Apple's Quicktime movie format/player.
