    failed hunks

I am having some problems with the patch, maybe someone can help me.

I deleted everything, got a new CVS then applied mvern patch
    patch < patch03.diff in ../showeq/src

that is where I am having problems, it detects a Reversed patch, and asks me to Assume -R (n) I say yes of course

and I get Hunk #9 Failed.. and for every other file i get a bunch of failures...

    Any solutions?
    Thanks
    MJO

As per the announcements forum (remember, reading = good), this patch is in CVS... As of the release of LoY, it doesnt matter, as ShowEQ is broken again..

I think the current CVS code incorporates Mvern's changes. So if you apply the diff to the current code, you're making the changes 2x.

BTW, the current EQ changed again with the LoY release, so although you will be up to date, you won't get skittles.

Take this all with a grain of salt, 'cause I am still a newbie.

    Post Stop Patching

    Everyone:

If you're still tyring to apply MVern's patch STOP!!! This patch ONLY applies to PRE-LOY Release.

    Timeline:

*As of mid last week (week of 14 - 21 Feb Basically) MVern put a patch up to make SEQ work...
*Within 24 hours of that patch being put up it was encorporated into SEQ CVS. <-- AT THIS POINT IT WAS NO LONGER NECESSARY TO PATCH.
*As of Monday the 24th, LOY Shipped and downloaded...changing the eqgame.exe and thus breaking Show EQ Even with MVern's patch.
*It's now Thursday the 27th and people are still trying to apply MVerns patch from a week and a half ago thinking it's going to fix seq Post LOY...

Just as an FYI all, if you get the "Apply Reversed" message when running patch, IT'S ALREADY BEEN APPLIED. If it doesn't work as is, it doesn't work, and it doesn't matter how many times you try to apply the patch, it's STILL not going to work...all you're going to do is screw up your source files beyond recognition.

Ratt THANK GOD YOU GAVE MVERN ACCESS TO CVS *BHUG* now he doesn't have to post patches and we don't have to confuse the linux clueless here with having to apply patches in the proper order and at the proper time.

Wow. Let this thread die ladies and gentlemen, it has ABSOLUTELY NO VALUE anymore...

Stop patching, wait till you see a message in Announcements saying "SEQ is Fixed" then use CVS like everyone else to update.

Jeaves, were you waiting for the entertainment value of seeing how long it would take people to figure out that patching the source not only didn't do any good but wasn't even possible before you started the flaming process? Sorry if I ruined the record...

    --Raistlin

Edit: PS All: In case you didn't get it the first time, this patch has been useless for very close to 2 weeks now and you're still trying to apply it... Please stop trying, and please stop posting problems about it. kk thx.
