Is there a way to get ShowEQ to show only rare spawns (alerts) on the map?
When SEQ is working....
Alerts only have sounds attached to them. If you add them to one of the other catagories, you could get it to flash or have a line drawn to it.
I do not know of an option to only show alert mobs. Since it includes the source code, you could probably mod it to only show alerts.

I would imagine you could create a filter file for each zone, eliminating all of the nonrare mobs.
Is there a place where I can get a list of all the spawns in a zone? So that I could make the filter?
Also, with MySEQ can I use the same type of filter file as ShowEQ does? I mean with the extras like [Locate] and [Hunt]?
No.
MySEQ only uses a basic alert method. It uses one single line with name after name for it to alert.
