    Cool Offsets for 10/9 patch

    These are a partial of the offsets for the last patch... I will be editing this thread as corrections are made but most of these work ok for me.

    There was a slight structure change to the spawn info.

    ---------------------------------------
    [Memory Offsets]
    ZoneAddr=6997772
    CharAddr=7403336
    SpawnHeaderAddr=7403280
    TargetAddr=7403348
    ItemsAddr=7403284

    [SpawnInfo Offsets]
    NameOffset=1
    XOffset=104
    YOffset=108
    ZOffset=112
    HeadingOffset=132
    SpeedOffset=128
    SpawnIDOffset=384
    TypeOffset=364
    ClassOffset=378
    RaceOffset=392
    HideOffset=376
    LastnameOffset=304
    NextOffset=316
    LevelOffset=372

    [GroundItem Offsets]
    ZOffset=32
    XOffset=36
    YOffset=40
    NameOffset=44
    SpawnIDOffset=12
    NextOffset=4
    ------------------------------------------

    Is there any particular zone it doesn't work correctly in? All the mob levels and positions I can check easily (known mob levels and checking positions with my char's in game /loc) all show up correctly. Is there a problem with races, classes or other such things?

    Nice work.

    Just need to add a couple more entries for my modified Server which fixes the horse bug.

    [Memory Offsets]
    ZoneAddr=7782112
    CharAddr=7403336
    CharInfo=0070F750
    SpawnHeaderAddr=7403280
    TargetAddr=7403348
    ItemsAddr=7403284

    ...

    [CharInfo Offsets]
    SpawnInfo=0x0d7c

    Please find attached a file that should work for cavemanbobs version or mine. (download and rename to .ini - forum wont allow me to link an ini file directly)

    <EDIT>
    Zone address was bringing up wrong zone names for LDON adventures. + last name offset incorrect:
    ZoneAddr=7782112

    LastnameOffset=65

    I corrected the values in the attached file.
    </EDIT>

    Please help anyone....
    I have been unable to make this ini file work. I have updated the ini file several times in the past successfully, but this time my client cannot connect to the server. That is the only message that I get. I would appreciate any help that can be given.

    Jay ~

    If you get a message that the client "Cannot connect to server", that doesn't have anything to do with the .ini file.

    You need to check that you have the right IP address in the clients option menu. It should have the IP address of the box you run the server (and eq) on. If it is all on the same box then the IP should be 127.0.0.1 (localhost).

    If that's not the answer post back with all the details of your set up so we can better help you.

    Help

    Thanks z...,
    I checked my IP and it is correct. I am running on 2 boxes. Both are Win2K workstation. Client is MySEQ 1.13 and server (on my EQ box is MySEQ Server 1.9b. I am currently in EQ with server running. When I try to connect with the client I get an error popup that says "cannot connect to server". I have been running this for a few months with no problems. I was connect with it the night before the patch, but I haven't been able to get connected since the patch. I don't know what other info that you might need, so let me know.....

    Thanks...

    Are you using Cavemanbob's version, or one of the modified versions?

    Note to self: Update the version number next time i release 1.

    - Try reverting back to the version of the ini file + settings you had before the patch. It should be able to connect, you just wont get the right info being sent to you.

    - Does it work if you run the client on the same machine as you are running the server + eq on?

    Can you ping the server from the client?

    - have you put a computer name or IP address in the IP field of the client?

    Thanks for all your help. I got it working late last night. It was a firewall issue....I could ping one way but not the other....Didn't remember that I had installed a VPN Client into a customer's network....

    I'm not sure if I'm running Cavemanbob's version or not...How would I tell. I downloaded it from this site. Where can I get Cavemanbob's version?

    Again...Thanks for all the help !!!

    You all are Great !!
