    Refused Connection

I ran through all the setps in the troubleshooting sticky. I am able to connect through the dos prompt telnet on the client but not with seq. It gives me the error "Could not connect to the server: No Connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". I checked to make sure neither computer was firewalled through windows. Then I went in to see if there were any strage firewall settings in the router. I could not find anything strange.

Are you sure you have the .NET framework installed on the client machine? Do you have the support DLL's on the client machine?

    Yep

Made sure to install .net from the windows update on both machines before I started and also downloaded the extra DLL files it said to download.

Turn on logging and post the info so we can see what it's trying to do.

If the client machine can talk to the server machine via Telnet then that rules out Firewalls and communications.

Try to set the IP address in Slot one to the server and make sure the posrt is 5555 and then hit Ctrl + 1 to try and connect.

Client set to server address in the options and the port is set to 5555

I tried again and got a slightly different error

01/21/2004 21:50:22.33 - Could not connect to the server: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

Ok i just shut everything down and restarted it in the right order again and that got it as far as connection. The server says that it is connected and so does the client but it does not show anything.

Ah ok one last edit here. Got it all figured out. Went and read the offset sticky in developement and got it figured out. Sorry for the noobish post =/
