    Cool CVS commit and tarball of ShowEQ 5.0.0.14

    ShowEQ 5.0.0.14

    It works with 09/16/04 EQ Live (OoW).

    NOTE: ShowEQ now requires autoconf 2.54 or higher.

    NOTE: Don't forget to do a 'make -f Makefile.dist', 'configure', 'make', and last but definitely not least 'make install'.

    This release has been tested to compile and run on stock Fedora Core 2, and Gentoo 2004.2

    ShowEQ 5.0.0.14 should be available on the CVS pserver and the ViewCVS server in the pre_5_0_beta branch within the next few hours. To retrieve the latest beta from CVS use the following command:
    Code:
    $ export CVSROOT=:pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/seq
    $ cvs login
    $ cvs co -r pre_5_0_beta showeq
    Because so many of you like them... I've created a tarball for this release. The ShowEQ 5.0.0.14 tarball contains all of the latest changes and may be found here in the ShowEQ Files section or if that gives you troubles from my website.

    Enjoy,
    Zaphod (dohpaZ)

    $ export CVSROOT=server:[email protected] :/cvsroot/seq is incorrect. It should be CVSROOT=server:[email protected]:/cvsroot/seq.

    Thanks, Zaphod!

    Thanks Zaph! One quick question...How do I check to make sure I have autoconf 2.54 or higher?

    Hmmm...logging into CVS abd when I get the normal "CVS password:" prompt I hit enter and get:

    "cvs [loging aborted] end of file from server (consult above messages if any)"

    Any idea what is wrong? I did use the newer line:

    export CVSROOT=server:[email protected]:/cvsroot/seq

    Is Zaph's now the correct line? I.E. cvs.seq.sourceforge.net?

    Thanks, Zaphod!

    Thanks for the catch purple... and remember to turn off the smilies of doom...

    And as far as checking your autoconf version, it'll automatically bitch if it's too low...

    No, mine was a typo from an old template file I had... As for the message, that's caused by SF.net CVS being it's usual bitchy self...

    Also, it may take some time to appear in anon cvs... So, to get it quicker you can use one of the tarballs...

    Thank you developers for all your hard work. I couldnt get the newest version from CVS, but the .tar file worked perfectly. Now me, and my roomates, can enjoy our EQ groups that much more.

    Thanks to all.
