    mouse deactivated after zoning, ever since media player installed

    installed helix media player software, and now the first time i zone while using SEQ the mouse ceases to work.

    Running pretty standard redhat 9

    any hints?

    Are you using a USB mouse? If so try a PS/2 mouse, this may fix your problem.

    No reason to run out and buy a new mouse, if it's a USB Mouse check your settings according to this page.

    If it's a PS/2 mouse it's probably an IRQ addressing issue with your sound card, even though PS/2 Mice are supposed to have a reserved space, it gets klugy sometimes with sound cards.

    Check your BIOS for Plug and Play support, and turn it off if it's on so the BIOS assigns IRQ's
