    Question Zone XP Modifiers

    I know most dungeons have largeish XP bonuses, is there a list anywhere with all of the zones and their bonuses? The zone I'm really curious about is Mons Lethalis. I don't have SEQ working so I cant see the XP, but just watching my bar while I solo it seems that I get much more xp/kill here, even on light blues.

    You can still figure out zems, its just a bit harder. You get the exact exp #s when you zone, so just look at # as you zone in, kill something, zone again, and compare. Plug 'em in to the exp formula and it should be easy from there. A good zone to start with is the grey, which is 0% zem, so you can see if the numbers all work out. Also, don't forget, if your using aa-exp value changes, that theres a 20% penalty to aa exp. Most dungeons seem to be around 30% zem, and most outdoor zones around 15. Some are higher or lower, for instance, the hole is over 50%.

    The basic formula I use to check base-exp for kills when solo is:
    basexp = moblevel^2 * (mylevel+5)
    Then just see how much exp you actualy got for the kill and look at the difference.

    Forgive me if I...

    Forgive me if I am wrong but
    basexp = moblevel^2 * (mylevel+5)
    After like level 30 it doesn't seem your level comes into it at all.

    At level 48 I would get 132000xp for killing a level 40 mob. At level 54 I get the same exact xp. Each level seems to give about 6% than the one prior at that point.

    I could have sworn the xp gained from a mob had nothing to do with your level except if you were < level 6.

    Exp gained from mob:
    Level * level * ZEM * Class

    Exp needed to level

    (Level^3 - (Level -1)^3)*Race*Class*LMOD

    Class is now in both equations for all classes but Rogues and Warriors because VI took out the class penalties by multiplying the exp gained by your class penalty. Warriors and Rogues still benefit from having a Class mod of .9 (vs. the Equivalent of 1 for all other classes).

    LMOD is as follows:

    Level < 30: 1
    Level < 35: 1.1
    Level < 40: 1.2
    Level < 45: 1.3
    Level < 51: 1.4
    Level < 52: 1.5
    Level < 53: 1.6
    Level < 54: 1.7
    Level < 55: 1.9
    Level < 56: 2.0
    Level < 57: 2.1
    Level < 58: 2.2
    Level < 59: 2.3
    Level < 60: 2.4

    ZEM varies based on zone, but in general:
    75 Outdoors
    85 Indoors
    100 Dungeons

    Then VI Revamed some of the unused dungeons giving them a ZEM as high as 125 (KerraRidge).

    Your level only affects the fact that the MOST EXP you can gain from any ONE mob or quest is 12% of your TOTAL level.

    I'm just using the basic formula casey posted here. Its been very accurate in my testing.

    For instance, at level 60, solo, as a war or rog the base experience for a lvl 46 mob is 137540. In fungus grove, for example, you actualy get around 158171 exp, due to the zem (15% bonus).

    What you posted here isn't that formula.

    basexp = moblevel^2 * (mylevel+5)

    should be:

    basexp = moblevel^2 * (mylevel+5)/(mylevel+5)

    because you are a group of 1, so the group aggregate level cancels your level+5 out.

    Hmmm...

    Not sure how accurate it is anymore, and it doesn't look like there is any updated ZEM's on Luclin, but, eqatlas has ZEM's listed on the individual map pages.
