On The Subject of Spawns Outside the Map...

I know there has been some discussion (and fixes) for the problem where you will get a spawn that shows up quite a ways outside the map range, resulting in a tiny little map "zoomed" way out. I just thought I'd mention this as I don't recall seeing it anywhere in prior discussions...

When this spawn shows up for me it is ALWAYS an unknown player name, but of a KNOWN guild name. It's always the same guild name, without a player name. I jusrt find that kind of odd that it's always a spawn way off the map with this same guild name. I don't want to mention the actual guild name as it really doesn't matter. I find this weird and have no idea why it's always this same guild name. Anyone else have this issue?

Nope sorry. It's an active guild name from my server. Wish I knew why it's always this guild.

    Nono, really, it's guild0.

Do a "/who all guild0". (just like that, don't substitute guild0 out for anything) I think you'll be suprised.

As to *why* this happens, I don't have a clue.

Same thing happens to me, all the time, unknown player in guild0 positioned WAY outside the map.

Any ideas why this is happening?

This is a very very known issue, eventually we hope it will be fixed but as it stands right now there is way too much going on with the recent patches screwing up the eq data.

Look closely and you will see it is always an unknown player with guild 0, race 0, class 0.

guild 0 maps to a real guild, where as race 0 and class 0 do not.
